برنامج المساعدة الجراحية يوفر عمليات تغير الحياة
Our newly launched Surgical Assistance Program has already funded 15 critical surgeries for patients who couldn't otherwise afford them.
## Life-Changing Surgical Care
The International Forum for Moroccans of the World is proud to announce the successful launch of our Surgical Assistance Program, which has already funded 15 critical surgeries for patients in need across Morocco.
Addressing a Critical Gap
Many Moroccans, particularly those in rural and economically disadvantaged areas, face significant barriers to accessing surgical care. These barriers include:
- Prohibitive costs of surgical procedures
- Limited availability of specialized surgeons in rural areas
- Long waiting lists at public hospitals
- Lack of health insurance coverage
Our Surgical Assistance Program addresses these challenges by providing financial support, coordinating with medical professionals, and facilitating access to quality surgical care.
Program Impact
Since its launch in January 2025, the program has:
- Funded 15 critical surgeries across various specialties
- Partnered with 8 hospitals and medical centers across Morocco
- Established a network of 12 volunteer surgeons and medical professionals
- Created a streamlined application and approval process for patients in need
Patient Success Stories
Among the patients who have benefited from the program:
- A 7-year-old girl from Ouarzazate received corrective surgery for a congenital heart defect
- A 45-year-old father of three from Tinghir underwent emergency appendectomy
- A 62-year-old woman from Kelaat Mgouna received cataract surgery, restoring her vision
- A 12-year-old boy from Boumalne Dades received orthopedic surgery to correct a limb deformity
Comprehensive Support
The program provides more than just funding for surgical procedures. Our comprehensive approach includes:
- Pre-surgical consultations and evaluations
- Coverage of surgical costs and hospital stays
- Post-operative care and medication
- Transportation assistance for patients from remote areas
- Follow-up care and rehabilitation support
Future Expansion
Building on the initial success, we plan to:
- Expand the program to cover 50 surgeries by the end of 2025
- Add specialized surgical interventions in cardiology and neurosurgery
- Establish partnerships with international medical organizations
- Develop a sustainable funding model through corporate partnerships and recurring donations
The Surgical Assistance Program exemplifies our commitment to ensuring that all Moroccans have access to essential healthcare services regardless of their financial circumstances or geographic location.
